Chris Weatherhead

Chief Executive Officer

Chris is a co-founder and the CEO of Energised Edge, with over 14 years’ experience in marketing, including working as a professional affiliate marketer. This experience allows Chris to think creatively whilst taking a scientific approach to creating marketing campaigns that have seen our clients make more sales of a higher value than they previously thought possible.

When he isn’t masterminding marketing campaigns, creating persuasive copy, managing ad campaigns or increasing conversions, Chris can be found consulting and helping marketing leads/teams to use digital marketing as effectively as possible.

He also works as a guest lecturer, teaching the Digital Marketing & Social Media module on two master’s courses for ESCP Europe. The courses Chris teaches on receive high praise. The Masters in Management course recently being voted 4th best in the world by The Economist and the 5th best in the world by the Financial Times. Whilst the Masters in Marketing and Creativity course has been voted the 5th best in the world by Top Universities.

Chris enjoys the outdoors and loves mountaineering, climbing and hill walking with his dog. A passion that led to him to be an active call-out member of a mountain rescue team for a period of 3 years. He also is an avid off-piste snowboarder, travelling the world to find the best powder (it is in Lech, Austria in his opinion!).

When he isn’t in the mountains, he can normally be found watching his hometown team Wigan Warriors RLFC or studying the latest marketing techniques!

Martin Clay

Chief Technical Officer

Co-founder and CTO, Martin’s ability to think critically and work in a very data-driven way was honed whilst working on designing and implementing corporate IT systems and acting as the lead Storage Architect for a subsidiary department of Whitehall.

His experience allows him to excel at the more technical and analytical disciplines of digital marketing, such as managing and, more importantly, performing data-driven optimisation of paid traffic campaigns. His ability to implement technical strategies combined with an eye for funnel and webpage design allows him to create high converting pages online.

He also often receives high praise from our clients for providing highly detailed, but easy to follow, “how to” processes for technical tasks within their business, allowing them to efficiently complete tasks in house that would previously have been outsourced.

In his spare time, Martin loves to follow the McLaren Formula 1 racing team when he isn’t either enjoying brewing (and tasting) his own beer, walking his dog, running or spending time around sports motorbikes!

Michelle Hua

Commercial Director

Following her degrees in Commerce and Law, combined with 8 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer, Michelle has gone on to become a highly accredited and skilled tech entrepreneur and advocate for women in tech/business.

Her no-nonsense approach for business and leadership qualities make her an invaluable member of the team, ensuring client expectations are exceeded and maintaining our high-quality standard across the team.

Around working to ensure our clients are happy, she is often seen featured in publications such as the Financial Times, consulting, accepting an award or sitting on an advisory panel! In any free time she has available, she enjoys walks on the beach with her dog and has a passion for food and travel.

Head of Content & Copywriting

With a degree in journalism, combined with her passion for writing persuasive copy, Jess heads up our marketing team. Specialising in content marketing, copywriting (for paid ads, sales pages, emails, etc.) and designing our communications.

She creates content that will convert higher than our clients ever expected, making her a client favourite within our team! Jess (whilst providing the content collateral for the campaign) has been responsible for some impressive stats, such as increases in conversion of over 4,900% whilst also increasing traffic by 1,733%.

When she’s not creating content, Jess loves walking in the mountains and recently completed the Snowdon Horseshoe. Either that or attending a spin class (torture on an exercise bike), just as long as Liverpool FC aren’t playing!

Angie White

Finance Director

Angie’s 10 years’ experience as a qualified CIMA has led to a forensic eye for detail with all money matters, whilst her ability to communicate even the most complex financial matters has led to Angie helping some of our clients with feasibility studies, business planning and financial dissection of marketing plans to ensure that all important ROI.

When she isn’t helping our clients, Angie’s main role is the position of FD, ensuring we are able to give back via some worthy causes, currently including need a kids and an environmental charity.

In her spare time, Angie is an avid Biohacker and loves all aspects of health and fitness, regularly undertaking challenges such as white-collar boxing or swimming 5km for charity. She also loves to spend time with her dog and enjoys the countryside.
